Restaurant Concept

KyoKaiseki is Kaiseki cuisine served in Kyoto at high-end restaurants. Edomae sushi is the simple yet elegant sushi originated from Tokyo. Fumiki's Sushi Kappo combines these two luxurious traditional cuisines and serve them over the counter. Our omakase menu changes seasonally: the temperature, texture, flavour, presentation, plates and sequence of dishes are carefully orchestrated to give the best overall dining experience possible. With around 18 dishes of Omakase style course, guests can experience true Japanese fine-dining created by our chef Fumiki who has 25+ years of extensive experience across some of the best Japanese restaurants in Melbourne, Brisbane and Kyoto.

Terms & Conditions

*Please read all terms & conditions before you make reservations.


  • ​​​$270 per person (not including drinks) 

  • We require $140 deposit per person, via bank transfer within 24 hours at the agreed time of booking as booking congestion may accumulate. Please include your last name, number of people, date of booking in your reference. Once we have confirmed your payment, we will send you a confirmation via email.

  • One session only from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM (approx.) 

  • To ensure best possible quality dining experience of our patrons, we do not cater for children under the age of 12 inclusive. Should you turn up with children aged 12 or under on the day of your booking we reserve the right to cancel your booking on the spot and will not refund the $140 deposit. 

  • We DO NOT cater for allergy to seafood, shellfish(including prawn, lobster, scampi, oyster, clams etc), gluten-free, as most of the courses are seafood ingredients which are carefully selected for the best experience possible.

  • If you do not eat raw fish then Fumiki’s might not be the place for you as we specialise in Edo-mae style sushi and sashimi.

  • We only accept bookings via emails.

  • Ingredients are ordered according to the bookings, if there are changes to your booking you must inform us at least 3 days prior to your booking date to receive full refund. If cancellation occurs within 3 days of your booking date, deposit will be non-refundable to cover cost of ingredients. On the day of booking if the number of people is less than booked, the deposit cannot be used as discount or as credit towards food or beverage, it will be non-refundable as if cancellation was made within 3 days of your booking.

  • To ensure a pleasant dining experience and due respect for all patrons, we ask that you arrive on time as we serve the food latest from 6:45 PM, earlier when all patrons arrive.

  • Courses only, no a la carte.

  • Restaurant Rules

Smart Casual attire required, No Shorts, No sandals or thongs.

Should you turn up with inappropriate attire, we reserve the right to refuse entry at the door.

No strong fragrance or perfume, as this can interfere with your dining experience.

Silent mode on all phones to ensure dining experiences for others.

For food safety reasons, we do not offer take away services.

To ensure the dining experience of our patrons we do not allow the use of camera flashes and intense lighting equipment.
